The LIFT5 and LIFTX are designed around different priorities.

LIFT5 is the better starting point for most new eFoilers, heavier riders and riders who want stability, powered range and an all-round eFoil. Within the range, the 5'4 LIFT5 Cruiser is the most stable option, while the 4'9 Sport combines beginner-friendly stability with plenty of room to progress.

LIFTX is the lighter, more surf-focused hybrid platform. Its smaller battery, folding prop and lower-drag setup are designed for riders who want to use power to reach swell and then spend more time gliding, downwinding, wake foiling or riding without power.

There are larger LIFTX boards that make the platform more accessible — the 5'4 LIFTX is specifically designed to be the most stable and forgiving LIFTX — but the range as a whole is more specialised.

A conventional eFoil uses a handheld controller and gives you the traditional free-standing foiling experience. A Hydroflyer adds handlebars as another point of contact, which can give some riders additional stability, control and confidence.
