Yes! We teach both eFoil and Wingfoil lessons on the Gold Coast. You can start from scratch or improve your skills with private one-on-one coaching. Wingfoil lesson packs are available for faster progression.

Absolutely. In fact, 95% of our 660+ students have foiled successfully in their very first session. We use a proven, step-by-step teaching method with land-based instruction and two-way radio coaching for instant feedback.

Not at all! You just need to be comfortable in the water and able to swim. Our method works for total beginners as well as experienced surfers, kitesurfers, or SUP riders.

We teach Foiling mainly in the calm waters of the Currumbin Basin for beginners, and in the open ocean for advanced riders. Our Wingfoil Lessons are typically at the Broadwater but will vary depending on wind conditions.
Locations are chosen based on conditions to ensure the best experience.

The Hydroflyer is a type of eFoil with handlebars, giving extra stability and making it even easier for beginners. We are the only Hydroflyer operator in Australia offering lessons and demos.

Yes, safety is our top priority. We provide helmets, life vests, and full instruction before and during your ride. All lessons are supervised by Vasco Vellez โ€“ The eFoil Doctor, Australiaโ€™s most experienced eFoil coach.
We are proud to boast a 100% safety record over 660 students with no accidents or injuries recorded. The occasional fall is part of the learning process and such good fun in complete safety.

An eFoil works by using a motor and battery to lift itself out of the water and glide over the surface, the motor provides the power to the eFoil to maintain a steady pace, while the battery provides the energy to power the motor.

We understand the weather can change. If conditions arenโ€™t safe, weโ€™ll reschedule your session at no extra cost. If you need to change your booking please give us at least 24 hoursโ€™ notice minimum, this is required to so we can reschedule.

A minumum level of mobility is required, but no more than regular day-to-day fitness is necessary.
Any mobility restrictions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. You must be a competent swimmer and feel confident in open water. We provide full safety gear, including impact vests and helmets, and conduct lessons in calm, protected areasโ€”but basic swimming ability is essential. You don’t need to be an Olympic swimmer to eFoil! Basic swimming skills are handy for safety, but as long as you’re comfortable in the water, you’re good to go – your instructor is side-by-side on his board next to you all the way.๐Ÿ„โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Minimum age is 8 but we will assess each participant depending on physical ability.ย  Video

Children 12 to 17 are required to have a parent or guardian present.

Usually 120 kg will be the board’s top end, assessed individually.

Each session lasts about 90 minutes, including:

  • 15โ€“20 minutes of on-land instruction

  • Around 60 minutes of water time (often more)

  • Q&A and debrief at the end

An Advanced Ocean lesson may last between 60 to 120 minutes depending on conditions and participant level and fitness.ย 

We teach most lessons in the calm waters of Currumbin Basin, which offers ideal beginner conditions year-round. 
For intermediate or advanced sessions, we sometimes move to other spots like Palm Beach, Currumbin Alley, Kirra, Greenmount or the Broadwater, depending on tides, wind, and rider goals.

All you need is:

  • Swimwear (wetsuits optional)

  • A towel

  • Water and snacks if you’d like

Weโ€™ll take care of the rest, including your safety gear and a smile.

Yes, always. Our students safety and comfort is paramount.
We teach on a protected area so the Basic Skills classes are more flexible, but Ocean and Advanced classes are dependent on conditions.

Yes. Our lessons are on the water near a grassy area where everyone can come and cheer you on.

Motor (Propulsion)
